Ghana Police to combat miscommunication with new website

Ghana's police service to launch website to combat miscommunication with public.

In an attempt to combat miscommunication between the police and the public, The Ghana Police Service has announced its intentions to launch a new website that will assist in gathering detailed information about crime in the country.

The website will also provide vital information about personal and public safety.

According to CitiFM OnlineThe Inspector General of Police, David Asante Apeatu said the website will be launched within the next two weeks and will also bridge the communication gap between the Police service and the public.

Apeatu also highlighted the roll that the website will play in informing journalists on police information; “Happily, we have designed a website that is so interactive that journalists can quickly go there for information. It is going to be launched within two weeks and I’m sure that it is going to alleviate some of the challenges that you’ve been facing,” he said.

The website will also allow citizens send information directly to the police and make enquiries about activities of the service.
