The Energizer Power Max P490s is a great entry-level smartphone for people looking for a device that is easy to use

The Energizer Power Max P490s is an Android smartphone that was announced in June 2018 and made available for purchase on August 2018. The P490s is an incredibly competent smartphone that comes equipped with all the bells and whistles expected of smartphones in today’s technological age. The P490s may not stand-out in today’s competitive smartphone industry, but its qualities and features more than justify its existence.

The device features a 4.95-inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 960 pixels. The screen size is more than adequate for any use, be it gaming or messaging. It does, however, make the phone a little large in size which may be a problem for some users. In addition to the big screen size, the phone weighs 133g, which makes the phone feel a little bulky. It may take a while for users to get used to the feel of the device, but once this hurdle is crossed the user will be surprised at how intuitive the device can be.

The phone comes equipped with Android 8.1 (Oreo). In addition to this, the phone comes pre-installed with some of the basic apps that you would expect from smartphones in this era, such as YouTube and others. The Android Play Store is available for users to utilize if they wish to get more applications. The device comes equipped with a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, as well as a Mali-T720MP2 GPU. As a result of this, the device is able to run some of the latest gaming applications available on the Play Store. The game Gangstar Vegas was tested on the P490s. Despite some minor frame rate drops, the device was able to run this hardware-demanding application well.

The Energizer Power Max P490s features a dual main camera with 8 MP, VGA and depth sensor, and a selfie camera with 5 MP, VGA and depth sensor. The main camera also has a dual-LED, dual-tone flash with the panorama feature and the selfie camera has an  LED flash. The main camera will be able to record videos at 1080p @ 30 FPS. The camera quality is very good and users will be satisfied with the photographs and videos that the device is able to produce. The device comes with a Dual SIM feature for Nano-SIMs. This is great for people who require two SIMS for business or for other uses. The device will eradicate the need to change SIMs whenever the need arises. The smartphone comes with 16GB 2GB Ram of internal memory, which can be insufficient in today’s technological age. The P490s seemingly solves this problem, however, by featuring a MicroSD slot capable of holding a memory card with up to 32 GB of space.

When it comes to safety features, the Energizer P490s does enough to ensure that your data is kept safe. The device features a standard numeric code feature but also comes equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The P490s features an FM Radio, WLAN access, Bluetooth capability and GPS functionality, ensuring that users’ needs will be satisfied by the device. The battery life is very good and the phone will last the user quite a while on a full charge. The phone is available for $144 and the entire package comes with the device, a pair of earphones, a USB cable and charging adaptors, A shock-absorbent phone case and a screen cover already applied to the device. The phone is available in black

Conclusion:

The Energizer Power Max P490s is a great entry-level smartphone for those who want a less-intimidating device. It comes equipped with all the applications and features that its competitors have but presents them in an easy-to-understand package. The cameras produce good quality images and videos and the safety features are adequate. The overall size of the phone can seem a little-bulky at first, but once the user gets used to it, they will find a device that is able to suit all their basic smartphone needs.
