List of games launching with the Sega Genesis Mini

The Sega Genesis Mini is an upcoming ‘mini’ version of Sega’s classic 16-bit video game console, the Sega Genesis, which was originally released in 1989. The Sega Genesis Mini is the latest console to join the expanding roster of ‘mini’ console versions of iconic and retro video game consoles from big video game publishers, such as Nintendo’s NES Classic and SNES Classic and Sony’s PlayStation Classic.

The Sega Genesis Mini will be plug-and-play right out of the box, meaning that despite it being modelled after a decades-old console, this version will function like current-generation consoles. The Sega Genesis Mini package includes the Sega Genesis Mini console, two classic wired 3-button control pads, USB Power Adaptor, Power Cable and HDMI Cable. The console, according to Sega, is pre-loaded with “40 Legendary Genesis games,” which are:

5. Castlevania Bloodlines
6. Castle of Illusion: Starring Mickey Mouse
7. Columns

11. Dynamite Headdy
12. Earthworm Jim
13. Ecco the Dolphin
14. Eternal Champions
15. Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
16. Golden Axe
17. Gunstar Heroes
18. Kid Chameleon
19. Landstalker
20. Light Crusader
21. Mega Man: The Wily Wars
22. Monster World IV
23. Phantasy Star IV
24. Road Rash II
25. Shining Force
26. Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master

The Sega Genesis Mini will also include two bonus titles: Tetris and Darius. The console is currently available for pre-order and will launch on 19 September 2019.
