Apple has sent out invites for an event taking place on October 30, suspected to be for the announcement of new iPads and Macs. The event will be streamed live from Brooklyn at 10 a.m. EDT or 4 p.m. CAT.
Since rumours of new iPads and Macs were never confirmed at its annual hardware event on September 12, everyone from Apple Insider to CNBC to Forbes believe that Apple will be announcing them at this new event. There’s also the added suspicion of new Airpods, but we’ll have to wait until the 30th to be sure.

The highlights of these new devices are likely to be an update to the design of the iPad Pro, mimicking the look and feel of the iPhone X in terms of facial recognition and no more home button. The removal of the home button will effectively make the iPad front all screen, taking us one step closer to a buttonless future. This changeup was predicted back in July by top Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo. There are also rumours floating around that a USB-C connector could be replacing the usual Lightning one.
The MacBook Air is next in line for an upgrade, probably in the form of a newer, fancier screen and the latest Intel processors. Bloomberg said back in August that a new Mac Mini Pro will be released.
In other Apple news, the internet is enthralled by all the different invite designs. The official event page has a dynamically changing design and each organisation to be invited received something unique.
