This is evident with the stylish Lenovo Yoga 720, an elegant, convertible 2-in-1 machine with full 360-degree smooth and reliable rotation, as well as a solid build quality. The device can switch into tablet mode which supports an active pen, an optional extra. You can draw and write on the screen using the pen. The Yoga 720 screen comes in 13.3-inch and 15-inch. Both laptops rotate around to the back of the keyboard allowing you to use it as a tablet. We had the privilege of using the 720. The first thing you will notice is the design and size, the Yoga720 has a classy aluminium finish accompanied by impressive features.
It feels solidly constructed and not at all fragile. The device packs a fast Intel Core i7 processor which delivers strong performance. The Yoga 720 features a sleek aluminium finish in Platinum Silver and Iron Grey.

A noticeable feature is the Yoga 720 does not have 'watchband hinge', as seen in other Yoga laptops like the Yoga 910 and Yoga 900s. The power button is on the right side of the chassis. The device has metal in the build, making for a solid and tough laptop. Weighing an impressive 1.3 kg for the 13 inch and 2 kg for the 15 inch, the Yoga 720 15-inch is relatively heavy.
At just 19 mm thick, is perfect for an active lifestyle. The Yoga has a very narrow screen bezels on three sides so that the 13.3-inch display is crammed into a chassis that's barely wider than the screen itself. Along the left edge, there are two USB-C ports. One of them supports Thunderbolt 3 for speedy connections to newer external hard drives or displays. Also on the left is a headphone socket. A little disappointed that the device does not have an SD card reader.
Using the Yoga 720 keyboard is a breeze, it is very comfortable to use and makes typing effortless. The Yoga 720 boasts a large and responsive trackpad and a fingerprint scanner in the top right corner of the wrist rest.

The device boasts a full HD resolution 15.6 inch 4K UHD IPS (3840 x 2160) touchscreen 15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) touchscreen display. The screen extends almost to the edge of the chassis on the top and sides, which have 7mm and 5mm bezels respectively.
Watching videos or streaming music on the device is pain-free, thanks to JBL stereo speakers optimized with Dolby Audio Premium. Wireless connectivity options include 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. The laptop has 4K Ultra High Definition screen, edged on three sides. The Yoga 720 comes with up to 8 GB memory onboard and max 16 GB, you’ll be able to use more apps, larger programs and bigger files without being slowed down. With impressive processing power and graphics, our review model came in Platinum Silver packed with the convenience of Windows 10 Home and a 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ Processor and a Nvidia GTX 1050. Our unit also came with 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB NVMe SSD, both of which come standard on the line but can be upgraded to 16 GB and 1 TB, respectively.
When it comes to battery life of the Yoga720, it is pretty impressive. During our time with the device, we managed to get a full day of work. On regular usage, the laptop lasted up to seven hours, which is good when working on multiple programmes. The device delivers impressive performance both as a laptop and as a tablet.
