New Nokia smartphones finally launch in South Africa

HMD Global just announced the launch of three new Nokia Smartphones the Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 plus and the new Nokia 6 in South Africa.


HMD Global just announced the launch of three new Nokia Smartphones in South Africa.

HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones finally announced the availability of the highly-anticipated Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 plus and the new Nokia 6 in South Africa.

These new Android One Nokia smartphones were introduced at Mobile World Congress in February 2018 and will go on sale during April 2018 through Cell C, MTN and Vodacom as well as selected retailers.

Delivering all the craftsmanship you expect from a Nokia phone, each new smartphone offers durability and reliability as standard, with the range setting new benchmarks in materials and design.

The new range of Nokia smartphones on Android One comes with no unnecessary UI changes or hidden processes that would consume your battery life or slow it down, this means you can enjoy your phone for longer. All Nokia smartphones in the Android One program, will come with a limited number of pre-installed Google Services apps so that you’ll get more storage space and a streamlined easy to use experience.

Nokia 8 Sirocco:

The Nokia 8 Sirocco is an ultra-compact powerhouse, delivering storytelling features including enhanced Dual-Sight, ZEISS optics and carefully tuned acoustics with Nokia spatial audio. The Nokia 8 Sirocco is curved glass finish, envelops a precision-crafted stainless-steel frame which is just 2mm thin at the edge.

Nokia 7 plus:

The Nokia 7 plus has the screen, power, design and features that combine innovative optical hardware and imaging algorithms. With enhanced Dual-Sight, dual rear sensors with ZEISS optics combine an ultra-sensitive 12MP wide-angle primary camera for excellent performance in both low-light and extra bright conditions and a secondary 13MP camera that delivers 2x optical zoom for the moments when you wish you were closer.

Nokia 6:

Building on the success of its predecessor, the new Nokia 6 packs performance and new features in a more compact, durable body. Over 60% faster than the first, it now offers enhanced Dual-Sight, ZEISS optics, USB-C fast-charging, a more compact screen-to-body ratio, Nokia spatial audio and pure, secure and up-to-date Android Oreo™.

Availability

• The Nokia 8 Sirocco will be available on 07 May from R499.00/month x 24 months on Post-Paid Operator deals or from R 12 999.00 prepaid / cash.

• The Nokia 7 plus is available on 19 April 2018 from R329.00/month x 24 months on Post-Paid Operator deals or from R 6 599.00 prepaid / cash.

• The new Nokia 6 will be available on 23 April 2018 from MTN, from R 3 999.00 prepaid / cash.
