At Citrix Synergy 2016, IT News Africa met up with Florin Lazurca, senior technical marketing manager for security at Citrix. In the interview below, Lazurca discusses – in-depth – the importance of Workforce Security within a business. Furthermore, Lazurca discusses the top threats that businesses face, such as ransomware.

Lazurca has previously held roles in information technology architecture in network optimization, virtualization, and security. Since 2006, he has held a variety of technical and leadership roles in professional services, sales engineering and marketing at Citrix. He was most recently responsible for leading a team of network and security sales engineers to protect networks, applications, and data for diverse companies and organizations in finance, public sector, healthcare and more. He is passionate about information systems security, and has amassed a wide range of knowledge in security tools, technologies, and best practices based on his experience.
Lazurca holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida.
