Panasonic launches Limited Edition EX series television to celebrates 100 year anniversary

Panasonic launches Limited Edition EX series television to celebrates 100 year anniversary.

Panasonic celebrated their 100th year anniversary by revealing their exclusive Centenary Limited Edition EX series televisions which will be available in South Africa at the end of February 2018.

Marking the company's 100th anniversary, Panasonic South Africa’s managing director Hidetoshi Kaneko expressed how much this milestone meant to all at Panasonic. "We can take pride in our ability to help consumers with their needs of today and tomorrow, it is because of this philosophy and constantly refining technology in the products that have gotten us to this point." said Kaneko. “The EX series is the epitome of a superior television immersive experience, and we now give consumers the opportunity to own a Panasonic limited edition”, Kaneko further stated.

According to the company, the Centenary TV range specification and colour resolution can satisfy the most demanding viewers. It even has a few added benefits for all the gamers out there. In game mode, as statedby the company, there is zero to little input lag which means images respond much quicker so you never have to miss a moment, a super move, or shot on goal again. Input lag can be a decisive factor in gaming especially in games which run at a higher framerate (usually shooters and RPG’s) as these games require more precise input tracking than is usually available. For all the gamers who have taken the jump into 4k gaming with one of the latest generation game consoles, the Centenary TV series will be a match made in video game heaven, according to the company. Supporting 4K and HDR means gamers will be able to completely take advantage of every pixel being pushed out by their console of choice. Game on.

These television sets are the latest offering from the Japanese tech company that are available in South Africa. Recently, Panasonic became the first ever TV manufacturer to receive the triple reference-level awards from Europe AV magazines for three completely different panel technologies: OLED, LCD, and Plasma. This is a testament to Panasonic’s image processing technology and innovation. The centenary limited edition television range is the result of 100 years of experience.

The television has 4K hexa chroma drive technology which delivers a much wider colour gamut- red, yellow, green, cyan, blue and magenta rays whereas most competitors have only half as many, often only reproducing red, green and blue. Adding on to the amazing picture quality is the new BCX processor which captures footage more crisply at 1000 nits, has local dimming and precisely reproduces shadows and highlights - creating the deepest blacks and most vivid colours.

The panel is also edge lit, which allows more light through for rich colour enhancement which creates a truly immersive viewing experience.

The television has 4K technology which translates to four times the 1920 x 1080 pixels found in standard full high definition televisions.

The Centenary Edition TV will be available in three sizes: 49-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch size

This exclusive television range will be available in limited quantities.
