Nigeria’s Co-Creation Hub selects 15 startups for Make-IT accelerator.
On Monday 4 December 2017, Nigeria’s Co-Creation Hub (CcHub) announced the 15 startups that will take part in its Make-IT accelerator programme next year. The programme is designed to strengthen entrepreneurs’ skills for scaling their businesses.
The accelerator programme, which received over 280 applications from startups across Africa, begins in January 2018 and is implemented by the German International Cooperation (GIZ) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as part of BMZ’s Digital Africa Initiative.
The Make-IT accelerator will be looking to help startups to scale their innovation and achieve growth, cooperation and investment readiness. The accelerator is being implemented in Nigeria and Kenya in collaboration with Endeva, CcHUB, Gearbox and Nailab (Kenya).
The 15 startups included 11 from Nigeria, 1 from Gambia, 1 from Ghana and 1 from Sierra Leon. The 15 startups that will undergo the nine-month program at CcHub from January 2018 are as follows.
