IT News Africa spoke to Brian Burke, Vice President and Research Head at Gartner, at the 2017 Gartner Symposium held at the Cape Town International Convention Center in South Africa. In the interview, Brian highlighted the top 10 strategic technology trends that will impact businesses in the coming years.
Brian is an analyst for Gartner, specialising in gamification and enterprise architecture. He is a prominent researcher and speaker who has been at Gartner since April 2005. Prior to that, he held senior management positions with responsibility for the development of IT strategy and architecture and the implementation of emerging technologies.
In the interview, Brian broke down the trends, identifying which trends will have an impact in Africa, which industries they will impact and if African businesses are taking these trends seriously enough.
